The tooling assembly design ensures that mandrels are centrally positioned when assembled inside the cast housing and remain in this position throughout the moulding step. This enables uniform lining thickness and 0% residual stress in every fitting/cast body.
The lining procedure also ensures that the liner fits tightly inside the cast housing, which is critical for high vacuum ratings.
